Topic: Grace Digital Radio

Hello:

If ever possible, could we  take a look at adapting the Grace Digital Radio model Allegro model GCI-IRD4000 to the Listenlive software? The radio no longer can stream some formats with Reciva (due to changes of quite a few radio stations in the US streaming formats). But the Listenlive software can receive more stations currently. If possible it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello penbex:

Thank you for your great suggestion, and if you could look into adapting the Listenlive server for this radio model so it can accept more streaming choices and additional applications it would be greatly appreciated. The Grace Digital Allegro was an excellent radio and feature filled when it came to the market around 2010, but due to changes in streaming formats and technology its choices have diminished. Thank you.

I thought that the Receiva radios had their own project called Sharpfin.

If nothing works we could take a look at altering the URL it looks for the radio database and adapting the server for it.

Hello:

I have read on the website here to notify you at Listenliveof radios that could use the Listenlive software for better features.
I have a Grace Digital Radio  - with the model name Allegro  - which was made in 2010 and sold by Grace Digital of San Diego, CA (https://gracedigital.com/) which uses the Reciva website (https://radios.reciva.com/) as its current server (but Grace Digital no longer uses them for their newer radios) . However, these radios are no longer receiving IHeart Radio stations, or many AAC and all AAC+ streams, and any many types of other streams like those from shoutcast having an HTTPS or MP3 stream no longer work on these radios.  Somehow it is due to the Reciva server being very restrictive on what streams can be received. So as opposed to making these radios drift into obsolescence, I am wondering if there's some way to add the Listenlive software to them with its great features so these radios will work for many years.
