Topic: Reciva shutting down starting January 2021

Reciva radios that can be Sharpfin'd can still have their presets updated.
Check out www.sharpfin.org for more details.

I have several Reciva radios that all have the Sharpfin update.  Not only do you get a Web interface, but also a telnet interface into the radio which allows you to turn on features not normally provided on your brand of Reciva radio.
I find the Reciva radios are easier to use for internet radio, but still prefer the Audiotron as a media player.

Reciva shut down its website on September 14, 2021, so several models of internet radios from CC Crane, Sangean, and Grace Digital are no longer able to receive internet radio stations, basically only receiving preprogrammed radio stations which were on their presets before the shutdown (10 stations only), and no other functions like Pandora, Tune In, IHeart, working at all.

The Reciva website server will be shut down on May 21, 2021, so several radio models from Grace Digital and CC Crane will no longer work normally, only 10 preset stations will be working. I would (and many others who own these radios) be delighted if there was a way they could be linked somehow to the Listenlive database for a second life...

Ownership, rights, licenses, various manufacturers - a long way to go!

Hello:
As everyone has probably heard, the Reciva radio database is shutting down starting this month. There are several radios using this database, and after the shutdown the radios will lose many stations. I own two radios by Grace Digital of California and their models built before 2018 will be affected. These radios, in addition to the Reciva database of stations, also have applications to receive thousands of stations from radio.com and IHeart (which are not shutting down, but it is unknown if these apps will still work after Reciva shuts down).  The radios perform very well and are fairly expensive, and it would be great if these radios could use the Listenlive database  - but keep the other apps like IHeart  - as a replacement for Reciva. Thank you for your consideration.
